Ok, so I thought I’d list some basic measurement breakdowns, information I use to calculate per serving costs. These are basic – different flours will have different weights to them, other ingredients differ as well. These are approximate, general measurements of volumer per weight, which doesn’t really make sense, but I think we all do it anyway. I’ll add to the list as I think of things.

10 cups of flour per kg
4 cups of flour per pound

1kg is 2.2lbs (the math on the flour and sugar doesn’t quite work out, but it’s sort of an idea to work with)

5 cups of sugar per kilogram
2 cups of sugar per pound

16 Tbsp per cup
3 tsp per Tablespoon
so … 48 teaspoons per cup

Eggs cost about $0.17 each (if they are $2.00 per dozen)

Milk costs about $0.25 per cup, if it’s $4.00 for a 4 litre bag, and that’s pretty similar for US gallons too

One US gallon is 3.78 litres
