Grocery Bill, March 21/2009: $82.48
After $21.11 taken off (coupons, PC Points): $61.37
What did I buy:
Fruitopia juice (on sale for 88 cents each, pre mixed) – 3
Margarine, 907gr, cooking margarine
Salmon and sole, both frozen
Frozen California style veggies, 2kg (No Name)
PC Chicken fingers (NOT on sale – ugh!)
PC Tortilla wraps, English muffins (18pk)
Chocolate Chips (1kg), Sugar (1kg)
Cheese (400gr each) (ON sale – yay!) – 2
2lbs Clementines, 1 coconut, 1lb strawberries (also NOT on sale – $3.49 for out of season strawberries), 1 English cucumber, 1 bunch of bananas
Iced Tea mix (No Name)
Now, the stuff I really didn't need, besides the strawberries:
Vector cereal
Tollhouse Ice Cream with cookie dough AND brownie chunks – the brownie chunks are what got me
Pillsbury Crescent rolls – so yummy
Chocolate syrup
Dora the Explorer popsicles – this was totally to avoid the screaming fit my girl was going to have over the cookie dough ice cream. These cost, wait for it … $5.69 for 12 popsicles. Ouch. And ugh.
I probably didn't need the Fruitopia either, but it looked yummy. All those bright colours and happy fruit are hard to resist!
Out of season strawberries were really unnecessary
Total of stuff I really shouldn't buy when I'm on a budget: $23.24
Good thing I cashed in those coupons I had! And I would hardly consider most of what I bought to be necessities at any rate. But the brownie chunks are SOO yummy!
